St Kilda has ruled out young forward Paddy McCartin for at least another week due to the effects of several head knocks this season.
McCartin missed last week's win over Essendon after suffering his third concussion of the season in Round 15 against the Suns.
St Kilda general manager of football Jamie Cox told the club's website that it still remains to be seen when McCartin will return to football.
“Paddy’s been ruled out for this week,” Cox said.
“There are some more tests and conversations that Paddy’s got to have before we really know when he’ll be fully available to return.”
Meanwhile, defender Sam Fisher (hamstring) and midfielder Tom Curren (quad) will both miss at least another week due to their respective injuries, while Shane Savage must pass a concussion test being being cleared to play this week.
St Kilda face Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
