Sportswear company, BLK, has gone into receivership, affecting six AFL clubs that have deals with the sports apparel franchise.

The Herald Sun reports the company has officially informed the league that it has gone into receivership, placing current merchandise and sponsorship deals in jeopardy.

Adelaide, Brisbane, Richmond, Gold Coast, GWS and St Kilda are all sponsored by BLK, while the Saints only signed a deal with the company last week.

Meanwhile, the Western Bulldogs recently changed kit supplier from BLK to Asics for the 2017 season.

“The AFL is aware that BLK has gone into receivership,” an AFL spokesman confirmed to the Herald Sun.

“Our commercial/licensing departments are in the process of gathering as much information as they can from the receivers to understand the implications for those clubs in the competition that have a relationship with the company for 2017.

“We have six clubs that will be affected in some form.”
