North Melbourne forward Aaron Black is set to leave the club during this year's trade period.

Black's manager, Jason Dover, has told the Herald Sun that his client is "happy to go anywhere", after managing just three games in the past two years and none this year after falling behind the likes of Jarrad Waite and Ben Brown in the pecking order.

“We’re in continual conversation with North … and come the trade period we’ll explore what opportunities are out there for Aaron in a trade that might benefit both the club and Aaron,” Dover said.

“It’s not all about returning home.”

The 25-year-old has kicked a total of 64 goals in 50 games since being selected with pick No. 25 in the 2009 National Draft.

He enjoyed his best season in 2013, when he played 18 games and kicked 33 goals. He then played 25 games in 2015 and kicked 26 goals.

However, since the arrival of Waite from Calrton, Black has not gotten a look in.

  1. As for Fremantle, I’m predicting they are going to straight swap with either Nick Suban or Chris Mayne for Black. As there trade period this season is going to be busy as ever.
