Richmond star Brett Deledio is out indefinitely due to a calf injury, according to The Age.

Deledio, who missed last week's loss to Hawthorn after injuring his calf in Round 17, missed the first five games of the season due to a quad injury.

He then played the following 11 games, before missing last week's match.

Coach Damien Hardwick said last week the club will take a conservative approach with Deledio, but refused to rule him out for the rest of the year, despite Richmond out of finals contention.

However, The Age reports that the club is "unable to put a timeframe on their vice-captain's return".

Meanwhile, teammate Ben Lennon has suffered yet another setback, after sustaining an ankle injury in the VFL on the weekend.

He is expected to miss around three weeks.
