Three-time reigning premiers Hawthorn are set to be very active this trade period, with Jaeger O'Meara, Tom Micthell and Ty Vickery in their sights.

After missing out on the grand final for the first time in four years, the Hawks are looking to regenerate their list with some younger talent through the trade period.

Gold Coast onballer O'Meara has already officially requested a trade to the Hawks, while reports have indicated all season that out of contract Sydney midfielder Tom Mitchell may also be headed to Hawthorn.

Meanwhile, Ty Vickery, the scapegoat for many of Richmond's problems over the past few years, may look for s fresh start, with Hawthorn keen to sign the inconsistent forward.

However, Sportingnews.com reports that the Tigers are also very keen to lure Sydney's Mitchell to Victoria. Richmond's first round draft pick, currently pick No.6, is said to be on the table.

But, Mitchell landing at the Tigers seems a long shot, with Hawthorn believed to be in the box seat should he opt to leave the Swans.

He has enjoyed a career best season this year, playing every game and averaging 28 disposals, four marks and six tackles per game.

  1. you’re in dream land…richmond need to start again and rebuild ..I hear they have just instigated a 35 year plan…honestly mate you have no hope with this bunch and that coach…

  2. Honestly he is flattered by the small Sydney ground which inflates his numbers…media has made out he is way better than he is…hawks can have him as they are gone anyway…they needed to have a big clean out like North and retire Hodge and Gibson at least…they will be huge sliders next year and beyond….bottom 6 in 2017 I guarantee it…

  3. Pick 6 & 35 for Mitchell AND Prestia! GC might throw in Ablett and Swans Kennedy as well!!
Going to take more than 6&35 for those two.
