Former Hawthorn premiership player Matt Spangher has officially called time on his career after 56 games with three clubs.

Spangher was delisted by the Hawks last months after 24 games in four seasons at the club, including the 2014 premiership.

The 29-year-old began his career at West Coast after being selected with pick No.34 in the 2005 National Draft.

He played 26 games for the Eagles, before joining Sydney, where he played six games in two years.

At the end of the 2012 season, he was traded to Hawthorn in exchange for pick No.66.
