Carlton Coach Brendon Bolton has revealed everything is up for grabs at the Blues coming into season 2016, including all on field leadership positions.

"As I said 'It's a real reset'. I want to be able to feel the leadership - look at it, view it, celebrate it and analyse it.... At the moment I'm really open."

The question is who could replace Murphy as captain, here are some of the options:

Bryce Gibbs: Gibbs is undoubtedly one of the most talented players on Carlton's list, was a member of the 2015 leadership group and is one of the most experienced players left in Carlton's rapidly changing side. If Carlton changed from Murphy though you'd have to ask the question, what does Gibbs bring to the role that Murphy didn't?

Michael Jamison: Another member of Carlton's 2015 leadership team, a previous Best Clubman award winner and again on of the more experienced players on Carlton's list. Jamison is one of the few viable options I can see at Carlton to take the leadership off of Murphy and even then it would only be to take pressure off of the current captain.

Patrick Cripps: The inclusion of Cripps in this list really highlights the dearth of options at the Blues. Having won the Best and Fairest last year will have some people suggesting the 20 year old, 23 game player is a viable option, even though he isn't.
