In-form Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo is close to putting pen to paper on a new deal, according to FoxSports.com.au.

Fasolo is reportedly in advanced discussion to extend his contract for a further two years, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2018 season.

The 23-year-old has played 71 games and booted 86 goals for the Pies since making his debut in Round 12, 2011.

Fasolo kicked six goals against the Tigers on Friday night in a man of the match performance increasing his tally since Round 10 last season to 31 goals, the most of any Collingwood player in the same period of time.
