Brisbane Lions players have given their new teammates a bit of a different welcome to the club.

The side's newest youngsters were ushered in a dark change room, before being attacked with water guns by their new teammates when the lights were turned on.

The draftees had a surprise welcome when they arrived at the Hyundai Centre this arvo... wait for it!

The Lions selected Hugh McCluggage (North Ballarat Rebels), Jarrod Berry (North Ballarat), Alex Witherdan (Geelong Falcons), Cedric Cox (North Ballarat Rebels), Jacob Allison (Aspley) and Corey Lyons (Sandringham Dragons) in Friday national draft, as well as Jake Barrett (GWS), Mitchell Hinge (Glenelg) and Oscar McInerney (Casey Scorpions) in Monday's rookie draft.
