The Match Review Panel has laid six charges following the completion of the final round of the home and away season.

Carlton’s Jacob Weitering can accept a $1,000 sanction for striking Essendon’s Kyle Langford.

Sydney’s Sam Naismith can accept a $1,000 sanction for engaging in rough conduct on Richmond defender Bachar Houli.

GWS Giant Devon Smith and Kangaroo Lindsay Thomas can accept $1,000 sanctions for wrestling each other.

Retiring Brisbane defender Daniel Merrett can accept a two match suspension for striking Shane Savage.

Fremantle’s Matt de Boer can accept a $1,000 sanction for engaging in rough conduct on Bulldog Marcus Bontempelli.

Meanwhile, Hawthorn’s Josh Gibson has been cleared of any wrongdoing for his contact on Levi Greenwood, as has West Coast’s Sharrod Wellingham for his contact on Mitch McGovern.

  1. Gibson from Hawthorn, no charge for doing the same thing as the Crows player. Hawthorn players have been whacking opponents all year and have got off all year. Now they just need the umps to do the right thing in the finals
