Gold Coast midfielder Dion Prestia has officially nominated Richmond as his preferred destination during this year's trade period.

Prestia informed the Suns of his desire to leave the club last week.

Richmond released the following statement a short time ago, confirming Prestia wants to join the Tigers:

The Club has been informed of Dion Prestia’s decision to nominate Richmond as his preferred new football home.

“At 23 years of age, Dion has shown that he’s both a quality player and person, and he would be a great addition to our list,” Dan Richardson, Richmond’s General Manager of Football said.

The Club will work with both the Gold Coast Suns and Dion’s manager, Marty Pask, to come to a suitable trade arrangement, and will make no further comment until such time.
