Hawthorn has received a $10,000 suspended fine after covering a broadcast camera in the change rooms during their clash with West Coast on Friday night.

Ceglar went down with what has since been confirmed as a season ending knee injury during the third quarter.

When he was receiving treatment in the rooms at three quarter time, a Hawthorn staff member was captured by Channel Seven covering a broadcast camera with a towel to obscure vision of the 25-year-old.

AFL general manager of football Mark Evans said it is prohibited for clubs to interfere with a network's ability to cover a match and all clubs in the league are required to assist broadcasters.

In giving the Hawks a suspended fine, Evans also said that the league took into consideration that Ceglar was emotional following his injury, however, he could have been taken elsewhere where cameras were not present.
