Mitchell, Cotchin to receive Brownlow medals on December 13

The AFL has revealed that Trent Cotchin and Sam Mitchell will be awarded their 2012 Brownlow Medals on Tuesday, December 13 at a ceremony in Melbourne.

The AFL Commission will award the Brownlow Medal to 2012 winners Trent Cotchin and Sam Mitchell at a ceremony in Melbourne on Tuesday December 13.

After consulting with both players, Cotchin and Mitchell will be presented with their medals at a lunchtime function on December 13, as part of the Commission’s meeting that day.

The formal presentation is expected to start at 12pm with all formalities to be concluded by 1pm. Further details will be announced closer to the day. A private gathering for both players will be held in the afternoon.

  1. I think everone can agree…Cotchin will go into the history books alongside Woewoddin as the worst winners. Makes a mockery of the medal as he hasn’t played a good game since 2012.

  2. See the Cotch almost every day shopping at my store. Good bloke. So even though im disappointed what has happened to Jobe, atleast Trent is a deserving winner and like i said before a good bloke. Not up himself like a few AFL footballers out there. Go bombers 2017
