Sydney's Callum Mills has won the 2016 rising star award.

Mills played 20 games this season, averaging 19. 4 disposals.

He is the third Sydney player after Adam Goodes (1999) and Dan Hannebery (2010) to take out the award.

The 19-year-old is the first player to be nominated after Round 14 and win the award.

Mills was the No.3 pick in the 2015 National Draft after being recruited from the Sydney Swans' academy.
