Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge will miss the next four to six week due to a knee injury.

Hodge suffered the injury during the 75-point loss to the Giants on Saturday afternoon.

Scans during the week have revealed a lateral meniscus tear, which will result in at least a month on the sidelines.

Hodge has played four matches this season, after returning to the side in Round 4 after fracturing is arm in the Round 1 loss to Geelong.
