The 23-year-old is said to have put contract talks with the Swans on hold last month, prompting speculation he could seek a fresh start next season.
Mitchell has played 53 games with the Swans since being recruited as a father-son selection with pick No.21 in the 2011 National Draft.
He has out of contract at season’s end and has averaged a career high 27.5 disposals playing every game this season.
