Greater Western Sydney midfielder Dylan Shiel is in doubt for the Giants' crucial clash with West Coast this Saturday.

Shiel missed his side's narrow win over the Suns on the weekend due to groin soreness and the onballer will have to prove his fitness at training during the week before being named in the side.

“He’s had a really good start to the week, but he has to get through training on Wednesday,” Cameron told FoxSports News on Tuesday morning.

“It’s one of those things that you don’t want hanging around at the back end of the year.

“We’re hoping that he will train on Wednesday and put his hand up to play on Saturday.”

A win for the Giants will go a long way to securing a top four finish come the end of the season, with matches against lowly Fremantle and the eighth placed Kangaroos to follow.
