Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands has been hit with a one game ban for his bump on Richmond's Ben Griffiths.

Sandilands hit Griffiths with a head high bump before just before contesting the ruck during Fremantle's 60 point win over Richmond on Friday night.

The Fremantle ruckman's shoulder made contact with Griffith's head, with Sandilands appearing to attempt to clear the space for the following ruck dual at a ball up.

The MRP charged Sandilands with rough conduct, resulting in a one game ban, which he will serve in round one of the home and away season should he accept his ban.
