Former No.1 draft pick and arguably the most sought after out-of-contract GWS youngster, Lachie Whitfield has signed a two-year contract extension with the Giants, Fairfax Media has reported.

Whitfield reportedly rejected several lucrative offers from Victorian clubs, to re-commit to the league's newest franchise in a deal worth a reported $1 million.
