Dusty wins Richmond best and fairest

Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin has won the 2016 Jack Dyer Medal.

Martin won the medal with 62 votes, just one ahead of defedner Alex Rance, in a thrilling count.

Skipper Trent Cotchin finished third on 51 votes.

It is Martin’s first best and fairest, however, the 25-year-old has come close on several occasions, finishing second in 2013 and 2015 and third in 2011 and 2014.
