Fremantle defender Garrick Ibbotson will miss the next month of football after injuring his wrist during the Dockers' loss to St Kilda on the weekend.

“Unfortunately, 'Ibbo' injured his wrist in the game (against the Saints).” Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber said.

“He seemed to play out the game okay but after the flight, the next morning in medical review it had swelled up and was quite painful.

“It was reviewed and he has a small fracture in his wrist so it’s going to be a couple of weeks to get it right.”

The injury will not require surgery.

Meanwhile, young midfielder Ethan Hughes will miss one to two weeks with a calf injury.
