Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan remains in doubt for his side's clash with Hawthorn this weekend.

Hogan injured his knee during the Dees' win over the Suns last Sunday and while he managed to play out the match, was clearly hampered by the injury.

The 21-year-old was named in the side to face the Hawks at the MCG on Saturday, but after struggling to overcome the injury during the week, could be a late withdrawal, with a final decision on his fitness to be made the morning of the game.

Clayton Oliver, Sam Weideman and Thomas Bugg have all been recalled for the Demons this week, with Josh Wagner, Matt Jones and Chris Dawes making way.

Meanwhile, Hawthorn will welcome back Cyril Rioli after he was a late withdrawal last week. Blake Hardwick has been omitted for the Hawks.
