Collingwood pair Alex Fasolo and Tim Broomhead will miss the remainder of the season after the pair both underwent shoulder surgery on Monday.

Magpies' football manager Neil Balme confirmed the news on Collingwood's website this afternoon.

"Alex Fasolo and Tim Broomhead both today had shoulder surgery...both of those boys will miss the rest of the year." he said.

Meanwhile, captain Scott Pendlebury will face a fitness test later in the week after injuring his ankle against Richmond.

“We had a scan straight away and fortunately there was no cracks, no fractures, no great problem,” Balme said.

“He’s a little bit sore, but he’s a reasonable chance of getting up for this week.”

Darcy Moore is also a chance to play against the Bulldogs on Friday night, with the forward "running pretty well", as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
