The Western Bulldogs have confirmed that veteran defender Dale Morris will play on 2017 after signing a one-year contract extension.

The deal will see the 32-year-old play on into a 13th AFL season and will give him the opportunity to reach 250 games.

“I’m really happy to be given the opportunity to go around again for this great Club,” Morris told the club's website.

“To be part of this journey alongside my teammates means the world to me."

Morris has played 225 career games since being selected with pick No.19 in the 2004 Rookie Draft after four years with Weribee in the VFL.

Youngster Declan Hamilton has also signed a one-year contract extension in what will be his third season at the Bulldogs.

Hamilton is yet to play a senior game for the Dogs since being selected with pick No.39 from the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL.
