Nathan Buckley and Grant Thomas have been involved in a heated Twitter spat on Monday morning.

Thomas took aim at Buckley's planned trip to the United States, which he says will help him gain a competitive edge for next season.

“I’ve organised to get across to the States,” Buckley said following his side's one-point loss to Hawthorn.

“We need to continually find points of difference in that way that we do things.

“We’ll go to the ends of the Earth to make sure we’re providing the best possible program that we can for our players and part of that is looking at best practice around the world.”
