Brisbane star Dayne Zorko has signed a four-year contract extension with the Lions, worth $2 million.

The deal will keep the 27-year-old at the club until the end of the 2020 season.

Zorko, who was the joint winner of the Merrett-Murray Medal last year, is the 10th Brisbane player to re-sign with the club in the last six months.

"We've got a really good young group coming through and I really wanted to be a part of that,”  Zorko told lions.com.au.

“I’ve made a lot of good memories and met a lot of good people through this Club and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”

"I feel like I've got a big part to play in the development of some of our younger kids, and being at the Club for four or five years now, I felt that it was important that I stick around.

The Brisbane vice-captain was selected by the Lions as a mature age rookie in 2011 and has played 81 senior games with the club.
