MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - JUNE 12: Ty Vickery of the Tigers kicks the ball during the 2016 AFL Round 12 match between the Richmond Tigers and the Gold Coast Suns at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on June 12, 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

Hawthorn offically make offer for free agent Ty Vickery

Hawthorn has officially lodged the paperwork to sign free agent Ty Vickery, in the first move of the trade and free agency period.

As Vickery is a restricted free agent, the Tigers have until Monday to match Hawthorn’s offer to the former first round draft pick, which is a two-year deal.

“Ty is keen to come to the Hawks and we are hopeful that we have provided him with a deal that will see this come to fruition,” Hawthorn Recruiting and List Manager Graham Wright said.

““His ability to play both ruck and forward is an extremely valuable asset, making him a fantastic addition to our list.

“At 26 years of age Ty has plenty of football left to play”

Vickery has kicked 158 goals in 119 games for Richmond, after being selected with pick No.8 in the 2008 National Draft.
