Sydney will play all home finals, other than a potential derby, in 2016 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The club had an agreement with ANZ Stadium that all finals will be played at the venue this season.

However, after ongoing negotiations, the AFL has reached an agreement with ANZ Stadium that all finals, other than a potential derby with Greater Western Sydney, will be played at the SCG.

If the Swans are drawn to play the Giants during the finals series, the match will be played at ANZ Stadium.

"AFL has reached agreement that all Swans’ 2016 finals matches, other than potential cross-town match v GWS, will be played at the SCG," AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said via statement on Friday.

"AFL and ANZ Stadium have agreed it in best interests of Swans to play at SCG, unless they play GWS, where greater capacity would be needed.

"AFL thanks CEO Daryl Kerry & the ANZ Stadium Board for productive discussions and believes this is a win-win for both parties."

Earlier this year, Sydney reached an agreement with ANZ Stadium to move their three scheduled home games at the venue each season, back to the SCG. However, finals had come under a different arrangement.
