Overall

Macreadie is a member of the GWS academy and is likely to be picked up by the Giants.

However, he will not go as high in the draft as initially expected. He was seen as a top draft prospect heading into this season, after a brilliant 2015 as a bottom-ager.

But he has failed to reach the same heights or improve as expected this season, putting him down the pecking order.

He is a talented tall defender, who reads the play well. At his best he can shut an opponent out of a game, while also versatile enough to intercept marks, run off half-back and find a target. He can also use the footy well, recording the highest kicking efficiency of anyone to average over 15 disposals in the TAC Cup in 2015.

But he lacked consistency this year and seemed to waiver in his competitiveness and looked far less confident than he did the previous season.

He missed out on testing at the AFL combine due to a quad injury.
